Darryl's Story
Whats good everyone, so here is the short and sweet of my life:
Graduated Warwick in 1985, went to Va. State University for a year and didn¿t like it, so I transferred to Hampton University (loved it there!)
Got a B.A. in Math in 1990 and M.S. in Applied Math in 1992 both from Hampton (My Home By The Sea).
Got married had two girls and worked for Norfolk State for 4 years before deciding to return to get a Ph.D. from The Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL.
Got sick while working on my Ph.D. and ended up on Dialysis for 3.5 years.
Got both the Ph.D. and a Kidney transplant in 2000, just month apart.
Stayed in Tallahassee and taug...Expand for more
ht at Florida State, Thomas University, & Valdosta State where I was promoted and tenured.
Divorced my wife (after 20 years, sad but necessary, who stays married anymore anyway) won custody of my daughters and move to Kennesaw, GA (ATL area) where I live now with both girls and I am teaching at Kennesaw State University in the math department.
Its been an eventful life I must say and I never thought that I would be where I am today. But its really good and the single dad thing is like the best decision I have ever made.
